Rich Earth, Rugged Beauty, Remembered Past

I had the privilege of exploring Butte and Anaconda, Montana this past weekend with friends. It was sobering and empowering to remember the hours of manpower that made this area the Copper Capital of the world for a time.

SEPTEMBER’S LAST MORNING

Mountains are intoxicating. Trekking through them gives an adrenaline rush. It’s the combination of exploring new paths while also being prepared to encounter nature’s predators. It’s exhilarating. The patches of color on Mount Ellis had been beckoning me. So, I climbed. The fiery colors of Autumn made September’s last morning here even more grandiose.
